Welcome to Natalie Barndt, our new Philadelphia Local Network Manager! In this role, she leads IC-SVN’s Philadelphia community, convening local impact investors and business leaders, building relationships within the Philadelphia impact ecosystem, and promoting local social venture and investment activity. Natalie also serves as Program Officer at Eisenhower Fellowships, an international exchange program for mid-career professionals from around the world, and is an adjunct professor at Temple’s Fox School of Business. Natalie’s experience includes working with non-profit organizations, international business, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, project management, and finance. Natalie earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware and her MS in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania.

IC-SVN: You’re already familiar with IC-SVN. What do you enjoy most about the IC community?
Natalie: The people are amazing and from a variety of backgrounds but all care deeply about developing the social impact space in Philadelphia.
IC-SVN: What excites you about what’s happening locally in Philadelphia right now?
Natalie: That it’s becoming a hub for social business and impact investing… not to mention the restaurant scene! My current favorite is the Hungry Pigeon.
IC-SVN: Share a fun fact about yourself.
Natalie: I worked in one of the “stans” Kyrgyzstan in the 1990s where I worked on the privatization of state-owned enterprises.
IC-SVN: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Natalie: I enjoy spending time with my 4-year-old son, which usually includes sports of some kind. His current favorite is baseball!
