PHILADELPHIA, October 10, 2018 —

The Philadelphia Investors’ Circle-Social Venture Network (IC-SVN) Local Network is happy to announce the addition of Philadelphia-based member John Moore in the role of the Local Network Manager of the PA impact investing group. John is enthusiastically coming onboard to integrate his relationships across the Philadelphia ecosystem to raise awareness, deal flow and social entrepreneur support in the city around impact investing.

“I’m excited to lead the efforts of IC-SVN in our Philadelphia region,” comments John Moore, “I am inspired when social entrepreneurs create a business model that creates positive social externalities.  It is satisfying professionally and personally to connect these businesses with investment capital and other resources that help them grow and thrive. When these companies are successful, they not only create financial returns but they generate positive social impact.”

“We’re thrilled to have a member peer investor in this Local Network Manager role,” says Philadelphia President Annarie Lyles.  “John has years of investor experience and knows the early stage impact ecosystem in Philadelphia.  We believe that his efforts to grow both the community of impact investors and social enterprise business leaders will bear terrific results in scaling and supporting an integrated ecosystem of social impact companies in the region.”

Moore is also the Executive Chair of ImpactPHL, an alliance to promote and grow the impact investing community in the greater Philadelphia region and he sees many ways that the two organizations can jointly collaborate and grow.  He has been a successful angel investor since 2005 with both Robin Hood Ventures, where he is a managing partner, and with Investors’ Circle Philadelphia. He has served on the Board of Directors for Investors’ Circle, Good Company Ventures, an accelerator for social impact companies, and several startup companies including Wash Cycle Laundry and Milkcrate.
