Our Services
Investors' Circle serves as a bridge between social entrepreneurs and our investor members, providing two main platforms for bringing the two sides together and fostering successful mission-driven investments:
1. ONLINE COMPANY DATABASE AND E-NEWSLETTERS
Investors' Circle hosts a searchable, online database of company summaries that is accessible only to our membership of accredited investors. An application from a company that has been accepted into the Investors' Circle network will be "activated," or posted in this database. We charge a $150 fee upon activating an application.
Investors' Circle sends monthly e-newsletters to its membership announcing the companies that have joined our database. These monthly announcements draw our members back to the site on a regular basis. A one-lineĀ description of your choosing will announce your company in this e-mail. While the e-mail can be forwarded, only IC members will be able to access the link back to our website to view your full briefing.
Interested investors may contact entrepreneurs directly when they wish to pursue a particular opportunity.
2. VENTURE FAIRS
Investors' Circle holds two venture
fairs each year as part of our spring and fall conferences. The venture fairs serve as our most productive avenues for deal flow. At these
events, we invite roughly 20 companies and funds to make short
presentations to an exclusive audience of accredited investors. The conference program also includes ample networking time. Our Spring
Venture Fair takes place in San Francisco and our Fall Venture Fair takes place in Boston. Since our 2005 Fall Venture Fair, 11 companies and
venture funds have received funding to date, totaling $5 million. Companies that are invited to present are asked to pay a $995 presentation fee.
A company that is accepted into the IC network, and included in our online database will also be considered for an upcoming venture fair presentation.
Entrepreneurs do not need to provide additional information to be
considered,
but may be contacted four to eight weeks before an event in an IC selection committee requires further information for their review. Roughly 10% of companies accepted into the network are chosen to present at a venture fair.
