Ronan O'Brien
Mr. O'Brien is a partner in the Corporate and Finance practice group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He concentrates his practice in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for strategic and private equity clients across many industries including information technology, content licensing, manufacturing, alternative energy, consumer food products and companies promoting sustainable values. In addition to M&A, Mr. O'Brien advises enterprises on organization matters, capital formation, strategic alliances, joint ventures and outsourcing transactions. His clients include emerging businesses and entrepreneurs as well as established companies. Before joining Seyfarth, Mr. O'Brien worked in the Corporate Department of another international law firm.
In addition to his law firm experience, Mr. O'Brien was employed as Corporate Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs for a global technology company. In this role Mr. O’Brien served as general counsel to several business units and was part of a team that closed over 30 M&A transactions during a four year period.
Mr. O'Brien speaks and writes regularly about Private Equity, Venture Capital and Mergers & Acquisitions. His articles have appeared in trade and business periodicals such as Venture Capital Journal, Acquisition Finance, The Daily Deal, The Boston Business Journal, Mass Hi-Tech and Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, among others.
