MONDAY, November 10: Members Only events
Members enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship, feedback to IC, and sharing of personal projects.
The meeting was followed by an exclusive
evening reception with bountiful hors d’oeuvres, organic wine, and jazz music, as well premier networking with the top company presenters before anyone else!
TUESDAY, November 11: VENTURE FAIR (Accredited Investors Only)
Presentations by 20 early-stage for-profit companies working to solve social and environmental problems in the following areas: energy and environment, food and organics, media, health and wellness, education and community and international development.
WEDNESDAY, November 12: EDUCATION DAY (open to ALL!)
A space for people to come together to share the latest thinking about for-profit social entrepreneurship and contribute ideas. The morning featured our Plenary Panel: The Crisis on Wall Street and the Future of Social Investing, addressing our current economic crisis and the role that social investors play in rebuilding our capital market. Wednesday also featured a riveting and inspiring keynote speech by Majora Carter, founder of Sustainable South Bronx and President of the Majora Carter Group, LLC.
