GIIRS, a project of the independent non-profit B Lab, will assess the social and environmental impact (but not the financial performance) of companies and funds using a ratings approach analogous to Morningstar investment rankings or S&P credit risk ratings.

In collaboration with our LPs we invest for-profit dollars in seed and early-stage companies that hold promise of providing meaningful social and/or environmental benefit to the world.
The PCC funds are open to accredited investors for as little as $50,000 per LP unit. Investing across several funds create as diversified a portfolio as desired.
The PCC funds are raised approximately every 18 months:

PCC ’07 fund was $1.5 million in commitments.

PCC ’09 fund was $1.8 million in commitments.

We are currently raising the third fund (PCC ’11), targeted at $2 million.

In addition, in 2011 we expect to begin fundraising for a larger fund for institutional LPs.
